Villanova Campaign to Ignite Change

An experienced executive in the Long Island construction industry, Arthur Godsell serves as president of Godsell Construction Corporation in Hicksville, New York. Having sent his two children to Villanova University, Arthur Godsell and his wife, Deb, have donated funds to support For the Greater Great: The Villanova Campaign to Ignite Change, as well as served as members of the university's Parents Executive Committee.

Since its inception, The Villanova Campaign to Ignite Change has achieved more than $750 million in pledges and gifts to advance student opportunities and academic enterprise, as well as offer financial aid at the Villanova University. Currently, Villanova University is working to complete three construction projects which include redesigning Mendel Field and building the Lancaster Avenue Development and the Performing Arts Center.

The redesigned Mendel Field will reposition the Gregor Mendel Statue, establish a circular walkway, and create three distinct plazas. The university aims to open the Performing Arts Center on January 2020. Meanwhile, The Lancaster Avenue Development will open in time for the fall 2019 semester, with new student accommodations that will allow 85 percent of the university's undergraduate student body to live on campus.
